Regular Activities

Axstane Players

We are a very friendly amateur dramatic group based in Farningham, Kent. Founded in 1967, we put on an average of 3 productions a year. Productions consisting of Music Hall, Pantomimes, Plays (one-act and full length), Musical Revues and Variety Shows, meaning that we have attracted a large number of both members and audiences, some of which have been with us since day dot, back in 1967.

Apart from what we do on the stage, we also have a number of social meetings throughout the year, including a Christmas Party, New Years Eve Party, Beach Parties, BBQ’s, Cricket Matches etc. We are always looking for new members to join our group, whether it be to perform, to get involved backstage or purely for social purposes. If you are interested in being a part of our very active group then please get in touch. EmailWebsiteFacebook.

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is a great way to exercise without getting out of your chair.  It adapts traditional yoga poses so that they can be done with a chair for support, making yoga more accessible for people who can not stand for long periods or prefer not to get down on the floor.  Regular practice can improve;  posture, balance, flexibility, strength, energy levels, pain symptoms, arthritis symptoms, breathing and relaxation

We now have around 60 members, most of whom come from Farningham and the surrounding area. Our main monthly meetings are sociable  affairs,  usually  with invited speakers covering a wide range of topics.  The monthly luncheon club is very popular and the craft, bowls and darts groups meet regularly.

Recent social events have included a Fish and Chip Supper , Ten Pin Bowling, an Egg-sellent Easter Afternoon Tea and a Summer Soiree, with Pimms and strawberries. Check out our website for our annual programme and lots more!
